Europe · the United Kingdom
Indian spice and agro exports to the United Kingdom.
Since leaving the EU the UK has run its own import regime, and a consignment built for a German buyer is not automatically right for a British one. The differences are small but they are real, and they belong on the contract.
Preparing for the United Kingdom
What we settle before a UK shipment loads.
Packing, labelling and the document set are agreed at contract stage. None of it is discovered at the port.
A separate rulebook from the EU
The UK sets its own residue limits and its own labelling requirements, including a UK food business operator address on retail packs. We build to whichever of the two regimes your consignment is going into.
Ethnic retail and food service
A large share of Indian spice and pulse volume into the UK goes into ethnic retail and catering, where pack sizes run larger and turnover is quick. We pack to those formats as readily as to grocery multiples.
Mixed containers are common
Distributors here often want spices, pulses and rice in one container. That is the load we build most often.
Import requirements change, and this page is orientation rather than regulatory advice. We confirm the current document set with you and your customs broker before every shipment.

Shipping
Loading for Felixstowe, London Gateway, Southampton.
Shipments load from the western and southern Indian ports on the incoterm you work with. Full containers or a mixed load across categories, so several products travel under one bill of lading.
