Who we are
An export desk, not a listing.
Indus Origin contracts Indian spices and agro commodities at origin and ships them under written specification. We work the growing belts directly — the seed-spice markets of north Gujarat, the chilli and turmeric belts of the Deccan, cardamom and pepper out of the Western Ghats — so the lot a buyer approves on paper is the lot that is cleaned, packed and loaded.
Specification first, shipment second. Every enquiry is answered with origin, grade, purity, moisture, packing and lead time before a price is quoted.
The range runs wider than spices alone: seed spices and botanicals, millets, pulses and rice, dehydrated onion and garlic, coconut products and coffee, plus an imported range for buyers consolidating several origins onto one set of documents.

The range
Eleven categories. 103 products. One consignment.
Filter the basket below or search a product by name. Anything here can be combined into a single container, so a buyer taking cumin, turmeric powder, psyllium husk and dehydrated garlic places one order and clears one set of documents.

Mixed load · built to your list
One consignment
Four products, one container, one set of papers.
A buyer taking cumin, turmeric powder, psyllium husk and dehydrated garlic does not need four suppliers, four contracts and four sets of documents. Mixed loads are built here and cleared as one shipment.
- Single-product FCLs, or a mixed 20ft or 40ft across categories.
- One invoice, one letter of credit, one document set.
- Container freight economics without single-product volumes.
What we do beyond supply
A trade desk, not just a warehouse.
Most of our buyers are importers, packers, food manufacturers and retail brands. These are the parts of the job they hand to us.
Full container and mixed loads
Single-product FCLs, or one 20ft or 40ft consolidated across categories, so a buyer taking four products still ships at container economics rather than LCL rates.
Private label and retail packing
Retail packs, jars and cartons carrying your brand and your market's label requirements, alongside the bulk formats. Artwork and pack sizes are agreed before the order is confirmed.
Contract and call-off supply
Season-long contracts priced against the crop, drawn down through the year, so a production line is not exposed to a single harvest window.
Custom specification and milling
Purity, mesh, colour value, volatile oil, moisture and admixture set by you. Milled to size, steam-sterilised where a market requires it, or blended to a recipe you own.
Documentation and compliance
Phytosanitary certificates, certificate of origin, health certificates and the destination's paperwork prepared with the shipment. Third-party inspection and residue panels arranged on request.
Imported range, re-exported
What India does not grow, we source and re-export — pepper and cassia, cloves and clove stems, star anise, black cardamom, oregano and caraway — consolidated onto the same invoice.
Origin to port
Six controlled steps between the field and your warehouse.
Nothing moves on a trader’s word. Every lot walks the same sequence, and each stage writes a record that travels with the container.
Chain of custody · one record per stage
Sourcing at origin
Buying is done in the producing markets through the season, on visible moisture, colour and admixture rather than on a photograph and a price list.
Intake and pre-clean
Sampling on arrival, moisture checked, then de-stoning, magnetic separation and gravity grading before a lot joins the clean side of the line.
Cleaning and grading
Optical sorting pulls discoloured seed, foreign matter and stem, repeated until the lot meets the purity written into the contract.
Sample and clearance
Checks for moisture, admixture, colour and, where the product calls for it, volatile oil. Third-party residue, aflatoxin and microbiology panels are arranged on request.
Milling and packing
Milled to the mesh you specify, then packed in the format you sell in — PP or jute bags, cartons, big bags or retail packs — with the lot code on the pack.
Documents and dispatch
Stuffing supervised, seal photographs shared the same day, and the document set issued so it reaches you ahead of the vessel.

Quality assurance
Specification first, shipment second.
If a parameter misses, the lot is downgraded or rejected. It is not shipped and explained afterwards.
- A written specification comes first. Origin, grade, purity, moisture, packing and lead time are agreed in writing before a price is quoted, so there is nothing left to interpretation.
- Pre-shipment samples, every time. The lot is sampled before it ships and counter-samples are retained, so a question after arrival can be answered against the same material.
- Traceable to the lot. Packs carry a lot code that maps back to the intake and the cleaning pass it came through.
- Moisture-controlled packing. Barrier packing on humidity-sensitive products, chosen for the sea leg and the climate at the destination.
- Steam sterilisation where required. Microbial reduction without irradiation, for markets whose buyers or regulators ask for it.

Where the checks sit
Three gates, and a way out that is not the container.
Checks sit at intake, after cleaning and before dispatch. Each one writes a record against the lot code, and a lot that misses a parameter is held or downgraded rather than shipped and explained afterwards.

Specification
You set the parameters. We hold them.
Purity, moisture, mesh, colour and volatile oil are yours to specify. We answer your sheet line by line and say in writing what we can hold and what we cannot, before a price is quoted.
Packing
Packed for the shelf it lands on.
Retail pack through to big bag, with the liner, barrier film and pallet pattern chosen for the sea leg and the climate at the destination.
Formats drawn to relative scale
Global reach
Packed and papered for the market it is going to.
Labelling, packing format and the document set differ by destination, and they are settled at contract stage rather than discovered at the port. Shipments load from the western and southern Indian ports, on the incoterm you work with.
Plan your season
Indicative harvest calendar.
Booking against new-crop arrival is how you buy the best moisture, colour and price of the year. The windows below are indicative for Indian crops and shift with the season — ask the desk for the current position on a product before you plan around it.
